This sleek Back Bay lounge pairs classy martinis with classic American cuisine like mini-burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Since opening to a flurry of marketing buzz in the fall of 2005, Match has been a popular destination every night of the week. A contemporary fireplace and mirrored walls give the bar a cozy yet spacious feeling that is ideal for a date or a night on the town with friends. Known for generous-sized cocktails served in a stylized martini glass, Match's most popular drinks include the Pink Panther (a fruity libation similar to Sex on the Beach), the Bubbletini (complete with champagne bubbles), and Pop Culture (with pop rock candies stuck to the rim).
I never write reviews on these sties but I just went to match this past weekend and the experience was more than perfect. Match is located right off the green line and I believe the stop is the “ Hynes Convention Center” . Anyways the atmosphere at this place is amazing, as you can see in the picture above. I’m not a big drinker but these guys have all the martinis/cocktails you can think of. As for the food I loved the mini burgers, the group I was with sampled all of their different mini burgers. My fav was the spicy lamb burger. AMAZING!!! Anyways the place was great and definitely one of my top spots in Boston.
My boyfriend and I went about 2 weeks ago, we wanted to try it since we've never been. He had the steak and I had one of the burgers, the food was fabulous. I also had the sweet and sour martini and I loved it! Our waitress was great, very attentive and helpful. The place is beautiful. We are going back soon!
